Who we are
Revueat (revueat.com) helps restaurants collect guest reviews and reward guests with coupons. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions? Email [email protected].What we collect
- Email address — only if you choose to claim a coupon after leaving a review.
- Your review — rating, the dish you picked, your comment, and any photos you attach.
- Consent records — when and what you agreed to (required by Australian law).
- Technical data — a one-way hashed (anonymised) version of your IP address to prevent abuse, and cookies described below. We never store your raw IP address with your review.
- Restaurant owner accounts — email and an encrypted password.
How we use it
- To email you your coupon and remind you before it expires.
- To send news and promotions from the restaurant — only if you ticked the optional marketing box. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To show the restaurant your feedback and anonymous, aggregated statistics (e.g. most-picked dishes). Public reviews may be shown to other guests without your email or any personal details.
- To prevent coupon abuse and keep the service secure.
Who we share it with
- The restaurant you reviewed — they can see your review and, for coupon management, the email it was issued to.
- Service providers — we host on Amazon Web Services and send email through a transactional email provider. They process data on our behalf only.
Where your data is stored
Our servers and database are hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United States. By using Revueat you consent to your information being stored there. We protect it with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and restricted access.Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies: a login session cookie for restaurant owners, and a short-lived marker that limits how often a device can claim coupons. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.Your choices & rights
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any email.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.
- If you are unsatisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
